Willemsen Pig Farm and Forage Trade

From a medium-sized mixed company to a viable company. With the focus on sustainability through of solar and wind energy. With the ambition to further develop this sustainability in pig farming. An extension of the sideline in the forage trade is also an aim.

Pig farming Willemsen is originally a mixed farm and has been in the family since 1903. In the period of the third generation, the farm has grown in terms of animal numbers. At the time, this was a growth in both dairy cattle and fattening pigs. Jan Willemsen and his family are currently the fourth generation at the helm of this company. Over time, the cows have gone and the company has fully focused on fattening pigs.

In modern pig farming, there is a strong focus on reducing energy consumption. BestWatt solar and wind energy was chosen for the sustainable generation of this. This generates more than 75% of the energy consumption.
